The Wissahickon boys traveled to Upper Merion on Saturday October 13, 2012 to participate in the Blue and Gold tournament. Continuing with their great 2012 season. the boys defeated conference challenger Wyoming Valley West by a score of 9 to 4. In game 2, they easily defeated Pottsville, 14 to 5. In the Wyoming Valley game, offensive leaders were Brad Jones (4 goals on 6 shots), Luke Waechter (2 goals on 5 shots), Eun Bae (2 goals on 4 shots), Greg Beyer (1 goal on 3 shots and 6 assists). Defensively, Mac Henessey made 12 solid saves and was supported by Alex Bolen (3 steals) and Billy McFarland (3 steals). Luke Waechter, Eun Bae, Luke Tarzia, and Greg Beyer added two steals each demonstrating, once again, a solid team effort.
In their Pottsville game, the goal distribution among the Wiss players was huge with the following boys scoring at least one goal each: Brad Jones, Jake Berring, Evan Shapiro, Luke Waechter, Robbie Wilson, Eun Bae, Danny Knoll, Billy McFarland, Luke Tarzia, Greg Beyer, Nate Ostrander, Jeff Beyer, and David McFarland.
