Wissahickon Boys win Flight III at Beast of the East Waterpolo Tournament

The championship game for the boys Flight III of the Beast of the East Waterpolo Tournament featured the Wissahickon Trojans against the LaSalle Explorers. LaSalle is always quick, but this time, the Wissahickon defense dropped back every time and kept the Explorers off guard.  Since the Trojans shut down LaSalle's fast break, the game became a "real" game of waterpolo.  Wissahickon was patient and smart with crisp passing and solid shots on goal.  Luke Waechter scored 4, Jake Berring scored 2 and Robby Wilson, Danny Knoll and Ben Tumulo added one goal each. On defense, the Wissahickon boys were relentless and held LaSalle to only four goals.  Luke Tarzia, Alex Bolen and the other Wissahickon boys played tough and aggressive defense and, combined with Mac Hennessey's solid play in goal, Wissahickon shut down LaSalle's offense.  At the end of the night, Wissahickon proved to be too much for LaSalle and won the Championship for Flight III winning 9-4.
