Wissahickon's Tran is Four-Time American Conference Champion

Andrew Tran put his name in the record books with his 6-1, 6-3 win over Abington’s Isaac Rockower in the title match of the 2019 SOL American Conference Singles Championships on Saturday. It was the fourth straight singles title for the Wissahickon senior, believed to be the first player to accomplish that feat.
“This is his fourth title, and I don’t think anyone in the Suburban One has ever done that – won their singles title in their league four years in a row,” Wissahickon coach Mark Daniels said. “He has worked for it most of his life. He’s very focused when he plays, very level headed. He does not get rattled at all.”
Tran – who will continue his tennis career at Johns Hopkins University - did not lose a set en route to the title.
