Abington Duo to Play Collegiate Lacrosse

On Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, Abington seniors Liam Frazier and Patrick Garry were recognized for committing to continue their lacrosse careers at the collegiate level.

Liam Frazier – Immaculata University (Lacrosse)
Major:
Marketing Management/Finance
Final list of colleges: Immaculata, Temple
Reasons for choosing Immaculata: “When I went on a tour, I loved the campus. The coach was awesome, and I really liked the coach. I just fell in love with that campus, and I’m excited to go on to the next level.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level?  “I started playing lacrosse in fifth grade, and once I started playing my freshman year, I knew that I wanted to take it to the next level and play in college.”
Coach Mike Duffy says:  “Liam Frazer has been constantly improving at Abington and seems to really be coming into his own going into his senior season. He has a great shot and has shown that he is ready to play at the next level. I’m positive he will continue to flourish at Immaculata.”

Patrick “Patch” Garry – University of Scranton (Lacrosse)

Finance or Business Analytics
Final list of colleges: Scranton, Widener, Arcadia
Reasons for choosing Scranton: “It was probably biggest school I was looking at, and the campus is just really pretty. The team is good to be around, and the coach is really nice too.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “Freshman year we were shut down because of COVID, and we didn’t have a season, but we had tryouts, and I made varsity as a freshman, so that’s when I realized I could play at the next level.”
Coach Mike Duffy says:  “Patrick ‘Patch’ Garry has been a great defender for us the past three years, and the coaches are very excited to see him shine his senior year here at Abington. I could not be happier to hear that he will be continuing his lacrosse career at Scranton and have no doubt that his great work ethic and attitude will continue to elevate his talents this upcoming season and for seasons to come.”
