Maddie Malfara – Penn State Brandywine (Softball)
Reasons for choosing Penn State Brandywine:
Maddie selected Penn State Brandywine for its engineering program and supportive coaches.
Most memorable moment at Abington:  “Hitting a two-out RBI single in our district playoff game in Coatesville.”
Favorite class:  AP Physics C with Dr. Deakyne because of my lab partner. She will also miss Pillow Polo in PE class.
Career:  Doctor
Most played song on iPod:  “Island in the Sun” by Weezer
People might be surprised to know:  “I have played viola in the school’s orchestra since third grade.”
Coach Ellie White says:  “Maddie played outfield for us every game, and she loved the game. She loved to play. It didn’t matter if it was practice, if we were hitting in the hallways or if we were running drills in the cage - she just loved to be there and loved to play. I don’t think in my 21 years of coaching I have ever had a Maddie Malfara where it was just about playing the game and just loving it to death. She was excited every day, and that was huge.”

Kelley McNally – University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg (Softball)
Most memorable moment at Abington:
Making it to the second round of the district playoffs.
Career:  Athletic Trainer
Coach Ellie White says:  “She came in and played shortstop at the end of the season, and she did a great job. She was a key member in helping get us to the playoffs.
“The University of Alabama softball always talks about grit, and that was Kelly. She was the epitome of that. She was always up, always making sure people were doing their job and always was totally in the game. That’s one of the things I really love to see in a player, and you don’t see it all the time, but Kelly had that.”

Amy Worek – Penn State Abington (Softball)
College talk:
Amy will attend and play softball at Penn State Abington with plans to move on to the Main Campus at University Park
Most memorable moment at Abington:  “weeping Pennsbury, making history and leaving our legacy for the 2009 team.”
Favorite class:  Water Safety with Dr. Franko
Most played song on iPod:  “Remember the Name” by Fort Minor and “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon
People might be surprised to know that:  “I used to dance and was a gymnast.”
Coach Ellie White says:  “Amy held down the right side of the infield playing second base for us. She was a two-year starter and moved over to third base when we realigned our lineup, and she did a nice job at third. She worked hard throughout the year to get to where she was a key component on the team. She also was a leader during the preseason to get the kids to work hard.”
