Samantha Brusha – Millersville University (Basketball)

Career goal:  Criminal Psychologist

Final list of colleges:  Millersville, West Chester, Holy Family, Saint Peter’s

Most memorable moment at Abington:  “Winning the district championship at Villanova last year.”

Coach Dan Marsh says:  “When I first met Sam, she was a pretty one-dimensional basketball player where she was just a very good shooter. She’s always been a very good shooter. She wanted to play in college – that was her goal from the get-go, and I said, ‘You’re going to have to become a better all-around player. You’re going to have to get to the hole. You have to be a dual threat offensive player, and you’re going to have to be a better defensive player,’ and she worked. She worked and worked and worked, and now, she’s one of the better all-around players around, and I think everyone is going to see that this year when they see how good her all-around game is. If I had to say two words about Sam, it would definitely be work ethic. She’s got that above-and-beyond work ethic to be a better player.”
