He found a lot of strength from within to drive himself to still achieving. I know Andy didn’t have the senior year he wanted to being that he didn’t make it out of SOLs, but Andy’s overall drive in life even through a lot of adversity and challenges that he dealt with – he never gave up. Persistence was Andy’s major strength. He was the type of guy to always keep going forward not matter what was happening.”

Final list of colleges:
Stevenson, Albright, Millersville

Coach Jason Cottone says:  “His strength was his overall commitment to being the very best at his game. He was fully committed to everything he did - his practice, his work ethic. A lot of golfers when they’re seniors they kind of take their senior year off. Matt was the exact opposite of a senior having senioritis. He dedicated himself 100 percent to his practice, to his game the summer leading up to the 2015 season. I think that’s what separated Matt.”
