Shane Munizza – The College of New Jersey (Soccer)
Final list of colleges:
TCNJ, Holy Family
The scoop:  In 2015, Shane was second team all-league for the SOL National Conference and also was named team MVP. He was a member of the 2012 District One championship team and captain of this year’s District One playoff squad.
Most memorable moment at Abington:  “Beating Souderton”
Favorite class:  Mr. Tinney’s AP Calculus BC
Career:  Financial officer for a company
Most played song on iPod:  “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC
People might be surprised to know:  “I cannot tell the difference between our maroon and black uniforms.”
Coach Randy Garber says:  “Shane is a two-year starter. He’s a big, strong athletic kid, and he played in the back and the midfield for us. He had some injuries along the way that kept him out a few games, especially in our playoff run this year. He didn’t get a chance to play in it, but I think Shane is going to do well at the next level because he is physical, he is big, and I think that put in the right position, he’s going to do extremely well for The College of New Jersey. I have my fingers crossed that good things will happen to him.”

Matthew Tracey – Holy Family University (Soccer)
Final list of colleges:
Holy Family, La Salle, Arcadia, Immaculata
The scoop:  In his Abington career, Matt scored eight goals and assisted on another 15. He received the Gantt Memorial Scholarship and was the EPYSA Peter Kennedy Award winner. Matt was third team all-league as a junior and first team as a senior. He was a member of the District One championship team in 2012 as a sophomore. The soccer team made another appearance in the district playoffs against his senior season.
Most memorable moment at Abington:  “Beating Pennsbury at home for our first league game this year.”
Favorite class:  Math
Most played song on iPod:  “Jungle” by X Ambassadors
People might be surprised to know that:  “I will be playing with my other brother Chris at Holy Family next year.”
Coach Randy Garber says:  “Matt was a four-year starter. Obviously, his older brother Chris had quite a career at Abington. Matt followed in his footsteps. He had a very good career. He was a captain, all-league first team and most valuable player his senior year. He’s played every position on the field – he’s played forward, he’s played midfield. We put him where we needed him. He’s just a great kid on and off the field. He’s just a class act, and I think his best soccer is ahead of him. I’m anxious to see how he does and follow his career in college.”
