Justin Andrews – Monmouth University (Baseball)

Major:  Sports Management

Final list of colleges:  Monmouth, Rutgers, Old Dominion

Reasons for choosing Monmouth:  “I wanted to be a little closer to home, and definitely the academic (aspect of the )school. It was comfortable. It felt good.”

What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate baseball?  “When I was in my junior year going into that summer, I was playing travel baseball, and I started getting recruited. From there, I just knew I could play.”

Coach Chris Tenaglia says:  “Justin has been an extremely special student-athlete in both Neshaminy’s baseball and football programs.  He’s been a four-year varsity starter on the diamond and a major contributor as a receiver on the football field.  Not only does he possess the skills necessary for a successful baseball career at Monmouth University, but he also possesses the intangibles necessary to be a true leader on and off the field.
“The understanding of what it means to be a champion will be the most important attribute that Justin will leave at Neshaminy and carry with him to Monmouth University.  His attitude of extreme hustle, hard work, and his desire to compete will help him to excel in all areas of his life in the future.  While Neshaminy will greatly miss his presence on the field in the future, his legacy provides a framework for future players of the program to maintain and build upon.”
