Keith Cameron – Lafayette College (Lacrosse)

Major:  Geology

Final list of colleges:  Lafayette, Providence, Holy Cross, Washington College

Reasons for choosing Lafayette:  “It’s a great academic school. The campus is small and compact – it’s a beautiful campus. It gives me a chance to play Division One lacrosse for a really good school.”

What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate lacrosse?  “I started thinking about it my freshman year because I’ve been playing summer lacrosse for six years now. When I got to my freshman year, I knew I had to get serious about it if I really wanted to play. I decided I would because it’s going to be a great experience.”

Coach John Kurek says:  “The big thing is – he’s a student of the game, and he enjoys lacrosse. Every time he steps on the field he wants to get better. He committed to the weight room, and he made himself bigger than what he used to be. He started for us as a sophomore, and back then, he was probably 150-160 pounds. Because he worked so hard, he made himself physically better on the field. He also is a student of the game – he watches film, he understands his opponents, he likes to game plan. He has it mentally and physically to be that type of player.”
