“What’s really good about these three guys – I watch their practice, I watch their games, I watch their club games, and I think they revel in their wins, not necessarily for themselves but watching the guy next to them get better, which is enjoyable,” CB East coach Bruce Garcia said. “It’s a sign of character and a level of maturity that is not always seen. All three of them – along with the rest of the team whether they’re going on to play college or not – this is a very enjoyable team to be with.”

Conor Larkin – Lynn University (Lacrosse)
Major:
Business Administration
Final list of colleges:  Lynn, Tampa, Merrimack
Reasons for choosing Lynn:  “It’s a great location, it’s an up and coming program, and they just had their first top 10 win during my official visit last week against Adelphi, so they’ve got a good things going. I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
What was the progression that led you to playing lacrosse at the collegiate level?  “My freshman year I really decided to stick with lacrosse because that was always my passion. I always played summer lacrosse, and I started going to prospect camps, and I was like, ‘I really want to take this to the next level.’”
Coach Bruce Garcia says:  Conor Larkin had a football injury (a broken leg), and now that he can’t play because he has restrictions for another month – he is probably as positive as any player I’ve had the pleasure of being with that is on the sidelines. He’s very constructive, wants to contribute, wants to help everyone else, and he’ll probably be back in another month.”

Bryan McIntosh – Mount St. Mary’s University (Lacrosse)

Final list of colleges:  Mount St. Mary’s, Wagner, Lafayette
Reasons for choosing Mount St. Mary’s: “It just felt right. The coaches really sold it to me. I talked to the coach a lot, and when I went down there on my visit, the coaches were awesome. I was like – these are good guys, and I want to play for them for the next four years.”
What was the progression that led you to playing lacrosse at the collegiate level?  “Ice hockey was my main sport until ninth grade. I’d only play lacrosse in the spring. My main focus was on ice hockey. I tore my ACL going into my freshman year, and I was like - all right, I don’t want to go back because I was (at ice hockey) seven days a week. I want to focus more on lacrosse, and that’s what I started to do. I started to play high school hockey, and lacrosse was my main focus.
“My freshman year I was on jayvee because I was coming back from an ACL, but I actually started my sophomore year. That year I had and incredible year and a good summer, and I was like – I think I’m good enough to play at the next level, so that’s when I really figured it out.”
Coach Bruce Garcia says:  “Bryan McIntosh is a quiet guy off the field, but get him on the field, and you can’t shut him up. He controls everything. He is the bus driver, and it’s a pleasure for me to be around someone like that.”

What was the progression that led you to playing lacrosse at the collegiate level?  “When I was younger, I always wanted to play college lacrosse. I always wanted to play Division One, but you have to look at reality and look at the bigger things. I thought Division 3 and Catholic University was the best option for me. I didn’t want to stop playing after high school. I just wanted to keep going.”
Coach Bruce Garcia says  “Joe Thiroway – what a gifted athlete. He has so much more potential to grow, and I hope I can get that out of him before he moves on to the next level. I hope I can see the next level out of him. Athletically, he’s gifted. It’s something that he was given and he works on. He does a great job, and it shows.”
