Jenn Krzeminski – Elon University (Volleyball)

Major:  Communications

Final list of colleges:  Elon, Bucknell, Colgate

Reasons for choosing Elon:  “I was choosing between three D-1 schools. The other two were in the Patriot League, and Elon is in the Colonial League. I chose Elon mostly because of the team. I feel like I fit in with the girls so much better there, and when I stepped on campus, I got such a better feeling.
“They also have a really good communications school that I toured right before I accepted the offer, and it was just amazing. When I walked in, I knew I wanted to be there, and I wanted to study communications there because it was such a strong program.”

What was the progression that led you to continuing your volleyball career at the collegiate level?  “I knew I wanted to play ever since 13s. When I was 14, I played up at 15s at a different club. I played 15s at East Coast Power in King of Prussia. That was a much stronger club, and the intensity was so different, and that was my biggest developing year. For the rest of my club years, I played at King of Prussia, and it was such a different atmosphere and the coaching was so good. That’s where I really grew as a player, and that’s where I did all my recruiting. At every tournament, there are always coaches watching. I kind of liked that though because the pressure always made me play better.”

Coach Kerri Rabberman says: “Jenn is a volleyball player that not only impressed me, but anyone that had the privilege to be able to watch her play even once. She is a player that you will never forget; and it isn't just because of how talented she was, but in the way that she did it. Teams would play us and would want to shut her down, but she was still able to terminate and get the job done that she needed to. She was a go-to during pressure situations and loved the opportunity to be that player.
“Jenn wanted to achieve personal goals, but she also wanted to be able to do it for her teammates. That is just one reason why she was voted captain by her teammates her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.  She would constantly give 100 percent every rep during practices and during games. She would want to come before or stay after just to be able to get one more good rep. Her determination and perseverance is absolutely amazing. As a coach you don't get to coach many players like Jenn. She deserves all of the accolades that she has received and I know that it is just going to continue.
“As a person, Jenn is one of the most genuine people that you will meet. She is not only genuine, but so humble as well. She always wants to be better in everything that she does and holds herself to a high standard. I am very proud of the person that she is, and it was a true privilege to say that I coached her and just know her as a person. We will be keeping in touch for a long time and I can't wait to continue to watch her play and to find out all of the accomplishments that she is going to achieve. I wish Jenn nothing but the best and I am going to miss and her whole family at CB East in the years to come. Jenn thank you for everything that you have done for our program, you have made your forever imprint on it.”
