Megan Mannato – Arcadia University (Soccer)

Major:  International Business

Final list of colleges:  Arcadia, Philadelphia University, Immaculata, King’s College, East Stroudsburg

Reasons for choosing Arcadia:  “Me and my mom are best friends, so when I was picking a school, I knew I wanted her to be able to watch me play. I went there for my overnight, and the team was so nice and so welcoming. I could tell the coach was really interested. His son goes to South, so he came to a couple of my East games. He’s a really nice guy, and it made the decision a lot easier. It’s a beautiful campus, and when I saw it, I fell in love with it.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in soccer at the collegiate level?  “When we went to the state final last year, I knew I wanted to play in college because I saw the seniors and how upset they were that their season was over. Especially at the end of our season, I was so happy I chose to play.”
Coach Paul Eisold says:  “Megan had a solid senior year. She was a co-captain and generally played the outside back position. Her ability to go forward helped support the offense. She is a tremendously hard worker and will be an asset to her college team.”
