CB South Quartet to Play Collegiate Football

On Thursday, March 2, 2023, CB South seniors Liam Goss, Tommy Donnelly, Kevin Dingas and Will Ratcliffe were recognized for committing to continue their football careers at the collegiate level.

Kevin Dingas  – Millersville University (Football)
Major:
OSHA Program
Final list of colleges: Millersville, Kutztown, Bloomsburg, Shippensburg
Reasons for choosing Millersville: “I took a visit and I knew it was the right decision. It was a beautiful campus, and that OSHA program really fit in for me. I just really liked it up there. I liked the vibe, and I liked the coaches.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in football at the collegiate level? “I always thought I wanted to play in college when I was younger, when I was playing peewee football. It was always a goal to try and play Division II at a high level.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says: “Kevin Dingas was our defensive end and was an absolute beast on the strong side of our defensive line. We had a very good defensive line this year, and he was sort of the centerpiece of that. There were times where he was an immovable object, there were times where he was a relentless pursuer to the football. He was a first team all-league player, which in our league is definitely saying something. I think his upside is even greater than where he is currently, and he’s already a very good football player. He’s going to go on to Millersville and have a great career.”
About Kevin:
Favorite food:
Pizza
Favorite TV show: Breaking Bad
Favorite artist: J Cole

Tommy Donnelly – Muhlenberg College (Football)
Major:
Business Management
Final list of colleges: Muhlenberg, Susquehanna, Misericordia
Reasons for choosing Muhlenberg: “I really, really loved the facilities. They have an amazing education there, and the players on the team – it was something I didn’t think any other school could beat.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in football at the collegiate level? “I have always had the thought of playing at the next level. I was pretty good at what I do, and it became a reality junior year.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says: “Tommy Donnelly was our receiver, and I think pound for pound he was probably the best football player in our conference this year. He is an unbelievably athletic kid that just made plays for us over the course of three seasons. I’m sure there are a lot of teams in our conference that are thankful to see him go. He was easy to target, he was able to get into open space all the time and made a lot of plays for us over three years.”
About Tommy:
Favorite food:
Ravioli
Favorite TV show: Game of Thrones
Favorite artist: Drake

Liam Goss – Kutztown University (Football)
Major:
Business
Final list of colleges: Kutztown, West Chester, Temple
Reasons for choosing Kutztown: “Kutztown really felt like home to me. It felt like somewhere I can start fresh as a freshman and become the best football player I could possibly be.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in football at the collegiate level? “It all started when I was in eighth grade when I started playing football. Ever since I’ve touched a ball, I just grew a love for it, and every day I’ve had aspirations of getting better and better. When it came down to my senior year, I had already decided that I wanted to continue on with my football career in college and try to become as successful as possible with the sport I love playing.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says: “Liam Goss was our defensive tackle over the last couple of years. He’s an unbelievable athlete. There were times when he was unable to be blocked and then did some very dynamic things. He has a nose for the football. He’s going to be a defensive end at Kutztown, and they should be very excited to get him because he’s a very dynamic athlete.”
About Liam:
Favorite food:
Baked mac ‘n cheese
Favorite TV show: Family Guy
Favorite music: Rap

Will Ratcliffe – Ursinus College (Football)
Major:
Health Science
Final list of colleges: Ursinus, Keystone College, West Chester
Reasons for choosing Ursinus: “It felt like a second home, and the community was very friendly. The coaches made it known it was a place to go and succeed.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in football at the collegiate level? “At a really young age, I knew I always wanted to play football for as long as I could. I knew the collegiate level was definitely the next step after high school. I didn’t know how it was going to happen, and a lot of things went off track, but I’m happy where I ended up.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says: “Will Ratcliffe actually tore his ACL four games into our season after tearing an ACL in high school while playing lacrosse. He is a very, very, very good football player, and I think Ursinus is going to realize that he was a good get. He really hasn’t had a full football season in the last two years, so he’s going to be a hidden gem that I think is going to go on and have a very good career at Ursinus.”
About Will:
Favorite food:
Cheesesteaks
Favorite movie: Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Favorite music: AC/DC
