CB South's Conner & Varacallo Commit to Play Collegiate Lax

On Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, Central Bucks South seniors Dominic Varacallo & Keith Conner were recognized for committing to continue their lacrosse careers at the collegiate level.

Keith Conner – Stockton University (Lacrosse)
Major:
Business Management
Final list of colleges: Stockton, Scranton, Albright, Wilkes
Reasons for choosing Stockton: “A lot of people told me it was a very good school to go to and had good athletics, and it was overall a fun time there.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “Once I started getting better – I was doing good on the team and my team started doing better, that’s when I started looking at colleges.”
Coach Mike Strayline says:  “Keith is a three-year varsity starter and was an assistant captain last season and will be one of our leaders this year. He’s a hard-working player and has great talent and should lead our offense this season. He’s really stepped up with our younger players and sets a good example and shows what hard work will do. I am looking forward to this season and seeing him lead our team.”

Favorite movies: Creed or Rocky
Favorite artist: Drake

Dominic Varacallo – Lebanon Valley College (Lacrosse)
Major:
Accounting
Final list of colleges: Lebanon Valley, Albright, Wilkes
Reasons for choosing Lebanon Valley: “I went to visit – the campus is very nice. It’s very clean, it’s a smaller school, which is what I was looking for. It has a new athletic center, and everything was nice about it.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I played lacrosse when I was younger, but my main sport was always ice hockey. CB South needed a goalie last year. I’d played it my whole life, but I quit to focus on hockey, so I decided to play last year. I liked it so much and I wanted to keep going, so Lebanon was the right fit for me.”
Coach Mike Strayline says:  “Dom is a great young man and a very good ice hockey goalie who played varsity goalie for us last year. He’s really worked hard to improve, and his attitude is fantastic. He took a few years off from lacrosse and came in last season and took the starting job from day one. I really think he’s just scratching the surface of how good he can be and will contend for all-league honors this year.
