Bill Donahue – Kutztown University (Football)

Major:  Business

Final list of colleges:  Kutztown, West Chester, East Stroudsburg, Millersville, Stony Brook

Reasons for choosing Kutztown:  “In the end, I just felt Kutztown was a better fit for me. I felt the coach matched me better, and that’s why I decided to go there.”

What was the progression that led you to playing football at the collegiate level?  “I have always an idea that I wanted to play football in college. When I was five, I thought I would like to go to the NFL.
“In my freshman year, once I really got the hang of high school football, I realized I had a chance of actually going and playing in college.”

Coach Tom Hetrick says:  “I would say Bill Donahue is probably the best defensive tackle to come through this school in about 10 years. He came from Penn Charter and played for us his junior and senior years and was a more dominant force on that side of the ball than we’ve seen here in a long time. He was somebody that every team and every coach always talked about – they always talked about what a force he was and his ability to take things away that they were trying to get done. He was a great kid to coach – just a strong kid, a hardworking kid. He’s one of the best we’ve had here, and I think he’s going to do a great job and be able to contribute for many years at Kutztown.”
