Bella Schute – West Chester University (Field Hockey)

Major: Speech Pathology

Final list of colleges:  West Chester, Slippery Rock, La Salle

Reasons for choosing West Chester: “It felt like home when I went, and I loved the campus. Everyone there was really nice. They have a great hockey program, and I just knew I wanted to go there.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in field hockey at the collegiate level? “I started thinking about playing in college in 10th grade. I’ve only been playing since eighth grade, and I just knew it was a good fit. I really liked it. Everyone was super nice, and I found that I was able to do great in the sport.”

Coach Pat Toner says:  “Bella was a tremendous captain on our team and did a great job as a leader both on and off the field. She was a mid and helped us control the midfield. She did an excellent job on both offense and defense. She’s a great kid from a great family, always willing to help. I’m really excited for Bella to play at West Chester. The West Chester coach is awesome, and I’m looking forward to seeing Bella play there.”
