Brandon McCredie – West Chester University (Swimming)

Major:  Geoscience or Education

Final list of colleges:  West Chester, West Point

Reasons for choosing West Chester: “It’s close to home and my mom and dad can still come to swim meets and watch me swim - which is a big part of my life seeing them there. Also, it had that college feel, and I just loved it when I went, and I know it has a great academic program. I’m excited.”

What was the progression that led you to swimming at the collegiate level?  “It was probably my junior year when I was receiving college letters. That’s when I knew that swimming in college would be the best fit for me. I’ve been doing it for so long, and I don’t want to give it up.”

Assistant coach Greg Parker says:  "His events are the 50 free and 100 free, but really, he's so versatile he could swim anything that he wanted. He works hard, he's very determined and focused in what his goals are, but then he has a little goofy side to him, which makes practice light and fun. He has always been good, but the harder he's worked the better he's gotten."
