Major:  Business

What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level?  “I enjoy playing baseball and wanted to continue in college. For the summer of 2018, I played with the Philly Bandits. My recruiting process started while I was playing for the Philly Bandits.”

Coach Matt Schram says:  “Ryan is a senior pitcher who was 11-1 for us last year. He had a great year. On the mound, he’s very efficient and unshakeable, and he loves to have the baseball. He loves to pitch, he loves to be in the spotlight and wants to pitch the big game. I know a lot of people use the word fearless, and I have to because nothing bothered him, nothing fazed him. He pitched in big-time games, and his heart rate never went over 60.
“He ‘s a righty and throws in the mid 80s, probably upper 80s when he’s feeling real good and it’s warm out. When his off-speed is on, specifically his slider, it makes him very difficult to hit. He’s a big kid, and he’s getting stronger. Last year I would have said he’s raw, but he’s just a great athlete. I’m excited for him.”
