Kerry Kaufman – East Stroudsburg University (Field Hockey)

Major: Early Childhood Education & Special Education

Reasons for choosing East Stroudsburg:
-Have a great education program
-Have a team culture that promotes serving the community
-Ability to compete for a national title each year
-Coaches are approachable, extremely competitive and love to win
-Close enough for my family to watch me play

What was the progression that led you to competing in field hockey at the collegiate level?  “I have been playing field hockey since I was six years old. I started right here at CR South field hockey summer camp with coach (Lisa) Belz and coach (Colette) Paprocki as the youngest camper in attendance. I became a member of Mystx Field Hockey Club. As I started to play more competitively, I knew this was my passion.
“My recruiting process started in seventh grade and ended in April of my junior year when I committed to East Stroudsburg. My mom has been my motivation to play in college since I started playing. She was a college field hockey player herself, and I have always wanted to follow her footsteps. I am excited that I get to do just that at East Stroudsburg.
