Council Rock South grads Lucas Doyle, Sadriddinov Shermuhammad, Matt Colajezzi & AJ Cerulli are competing in wrestling at the collegiate level. AJ Cerulli – Ursinus College (Wrestling)

Reasons for choosing Ursinus: “The wrestling program is great, and the campus is really nice. The distance and size are also great.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in wrestling at the collegiate level? “I started to think about college wrestling midway through my junior year. The process first started at a camp during the summer. I was approached by the first college coach that had shown interest, and after that, it was a lot of visits and meeting with coaches.”

Matt Colajezzi – United States Naval Academy (Wrestling)

Reasons for choosing the Naval Academy: “To serve something bigger than myself while having the opportunity to get education and compete at the Division 1 level.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in wrestling at the collegiate level?  “Ever since I was six, I dreamed of wrestling at the Division 1 level. I always strived for a scholarship because wrestling isn’t a financially stable sport. I used the sport as a vehicle to get educated. Through lots of hard work and support from my family and team, I was lucky enough to get recruited by the United State Naval Academy for wrestling.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in wrestling at the collegiate level? “Since I was a kid, I always wanted to wrestle in college. The recruiting process started in September of my senior year when colleges reached out to me.”

Sadriddinov Shermuhammad – Clarion University (Wrestling)

Reasons for choosing Clarion: “It’s a good college for a business major, and it has a nice campus.”
What was the progression that led you to wrestling at the collegiate level? “I always wanted to play a sport in college - since I was eight years old, it was a dream. When I started to wrestle, I knew that if I worked hard and accomplished my goals, I would wrestle in college one day. The recruiting process started when the assistant coach from Clarion called me and told me they would love to have me there.”
