Casie Cronk – Moravian College (Track & Field)
Major:
Nursing
Final list of colleges:  Moravian, DeSales, Eastern
Reasons for choosing Moravian:  “I love the area, I wanted to be close to home, and out of the three schools, that was my best choice. I got the most money from Moravian, so that was helpful. I talked to the coach, and it felt like I just fit, and it made my decision a lot easier knowing that I was going to be on the team.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in track and field at the collegiate level?  “I wasn’t actually entirely sure until this year. I have been doing it since seventh grade, but I didn’t get that into it until this year. This year I realized it was finally ending, and I didn’t want that to happen.”
About Casie:
Favorite food:
Cheesesteaks
Favorite movie:  Parent Trap
Favorite music:  Country

Beth Ann Davies – Moravian College (Track & Field)
Major:
Nursing
Final list of colleges:  Moravian, Gwynedd Mercy
Reasons for choosing Moravian:  “Moravian accepted me right into the nursing program, and at Gwynedd Mercy, I’d have to do some gen ed courses and then make my way into the program. I focused more on my major (than track) because I know that’s what I’m going to need in the future. Track is just going to be fun – I’m going to try and enjoy that.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in track and field at the collegiate level?  “I kind of thought I wanted to do it in college when I was a freshman. During my junior year when colleges started contacting me, it made it more real. It made me realize I actually want to do this.”
About Beth Ann:
Favorite food:
Ice Cream
Favorite movie:  Finding Nemo
Favorite music:  Pop

Coach Jason Anderson says:  “Both are going to attend Moravian's Nursing program, which really renews my faith in the medical field because they both are so focused and conscientious. I would feel very safe in their hands medically as I know they would never skip class or fall asleep during a practical.
“Both are four-year varsity letter winners who have qualified for the District 1 meet the past two years. Both are consistent team leaders. This year we had an assistant coach who came to check in with me while the girls were doing a speed and quickness drill with ladders. He asked me during our conversation if I had to tell the girls what different movements they should do - I told him that Beth Ann and Casie had it under control. He was very impressed with the level of workout these captains were leading, which was nothing new to me.
“Seeing them progress over four years has truly been a pleasure, they both really never gave up and always worked to their potential.
“They are also very different personality-wise. Beth Ann is pragmatic and vocal. Casie is reserved and empathic. Together they were a perfect pair of captains that complemented each other. They join a Q-town girl who was a captain herself last year - Lauren Suelke - at Moravian. Those three together are a dream team, so kudos to the Moravian coaching staff for finding not just excellent athletes but fantastic people.”
