Reasons for choosing Hartford: “The coach had a big part. He really spoke to me, and I loved the feel of the campus.”
What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate lacrosse? “I have been playing lacrosse since fourth grade. In my freshman going into sophomore summer - that was my breakout year, and that led me to think I could do this in college.”
Coach Joe Staerk says: “Will is the type of kid every coach wishes he could have. He is the first one to practice, the last one to leave, and he will do anything that you tell him. He fights for every single ground ball.
“In our (district) playoff game against Great Valley, we were down a couple of goals, and he pulled me aside at halftime and said, ‘Coach, I promise you. I am going to do everything I can to win this game.’ He came out, and he actually brought us back. As a junior to do that - he scored three or four goals. I can’t say anything bad about Will. He is just a fantastic young man, and I can’t wait to see what he turns into. He’s phenomenal.”
