Kyleigh Dinnien – Gettysburg College (Softball)

Major:  Business & Psychology

Final list of colleges:  Gettysburg, Drexel, Franklin & Marshall

Reasons for choosing Gettysburg:  “I love the softball program and I love the campus as a whole. It’s a smaller community where I’ll know everybody, but I also like that the academics are just so vigorous. I want that extra push for when I’m out in the real world.”

What was the progression that led you to playing softball at the collegiate level?  “Being able to play softball is a bonus. I didn’t want to play D-I, I didn’t want it to be my life because it’s not going anywhere after college, but being able to play the next four years is a huge plus.”

Coach Joe DiFilippo says:  “Kyleigh has started for us for four years. As Kyleigh went, we went – if she was on, she scored. If she had a bad game, somebody else had to pick her up, but I needed her on the bases. In the outfield, it was like having another coach on the field. She moved my outfield – I signaled to her, and she moved wherever she had to. Every fly ball she’s talking.
“Seeing Kyleigh juggle everything she’s been involved in at school and be successful at all of them, I’m sure she’s going to be a great asset to Gettysburg both on the field and in the classroom.”
