Ryan Bruno – Shippensburg University (Football)

Major:  Computer Science

Final list of colleges:  Shippensburg, East Stroudsburg

Reasons for choosing Shippensburg: “I really liked the campus and the coaching staff - the head coach is real enthusiastic, and they’re winning.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in football at the collegiate level?  “It really started this year – winning some games and being with the team, it really made me want to continue playing football. My coach really helped a lot with the recruiting.”

Coach Michael Kapusta says:  “He’s a great combination of God-given size and strength and that determined attitude. I think that is probably what is most exceptional about him – just his overall level of toughness. He’s also a really great dedicated teammate and friend.
“Ryan’s a two-year varsity player, and he was all-league two years in a row. He’s unassuming off the field, but when he hits the field, he really found his aggressive streak. It showed this year. He was a unanimous first team all-league selection on the offensive line. He had a great year.”
