Neshaminy senior Chris Watson has committed to play soccer at Arcadia University.

Chris Watson – Arcadia University (Soccer)

Major:  Business

Final list of colleges:  Arcadia, York, Hood

Reasons for choosing Arcadia:  “Close proximity to home, and I loved the atmosphere of the team.”

What was the progression that led you to playing soccer at the collegiate level?  “I told my dad in the fourth grade that my dream was to play college soccer, and ever since then, we’ve done everything possible to make that dream possible. The recruiting process started in the summer leading up to tenth grade when I began to attend collegiate prospect camps.”

Coach Tom Foley says:  “Chris really matured into a great player for us. He was a four-year player for us, and each year he got better and better. In his senior year, he developed into a real fine goalkeeper. He was first team all-league.
“I had a unique perspective because I had him in seventh grade as a student, so I got to see him during all that time. He was a great leader, and the kids had a lot of respect for him. He did really well academically, so he was a well-rounded kid. I’m really pleased that he got what he did to go to Arcadia.”
