Major:  Health Sciences

Reasons for choosing JMU:  “When I stepped on the campus, I immediately fell in love with the university. I also really enjoy the coaching staff and the girls on the team. Everyone at JMU was very welcoming, and to me, it felt like a perfect fit.”

What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate field hockey?  “I started thinking about playing field hockey in college once I made the varsity team my freshman year. A senior on the team was going D-1, and from her skills, I knew what it would take to be a D-1 player. I think after that, I knew I needed to work harder if I wanted to make it D-1 as well.
“My first college play day was actually at JMU my sophomore year, and I loved it ever since. I then went on to play for FSC, my club team, and also was involved in Futures. I played four years for North Penn Varsity and can’t wait to be a part of the JMU field hockey team in the fall.”

Coach Shannon McCracken says:  "I am really excited for Casey to play at James Madison University. I think it will be a great fit for her academically and on the field hockey field. She had 13 goals and 13 assists for NP this past season, was a captain, and first team all-league selection.
“Casey is a four-year varsity player. She is an excellent leader and smart player. She made her teammates around her better this year. Casey gave 110 percent at both practices and games, which drove her teammates to practice and play harder. She loves the game and is always working to get better. I am most impressed with Casey's stick work. She has great control of the ball and is fast."
