Caleigh Sperling – Thomas Jefferson University (Basketball)

Major: Undecided

Reasons for choosing Thomas Jefferson: I visited a few other schools, but when I visited Thomas Jefferson, I really fell in love with the campus, the players, and I really liked the coaching staff.”

Coach Bri Cullen says:  I just think her drive is her number one strength. You give her any task, and she will do it to the best of her ability and will do it until she is the best. That’s a game-changer not just for a team but a culture.
“She’s a great all-around player. She’s very good at commanding the floor, she’s good at calming down the girls, she’s good at taking over the game when necessary – things you just can’t teach. Caleigh can score from basically anywhere – she’s more of an inside player, but she’s developed an outside shot.  This year she averaged 17 points, six rebounds and two steals a game and shot 84 percent from the foul line. She finished her career with 1,324 points.
“Caleigh’s an outstanding leader – it’s more lead-by-example. The girls just respect her.  Her relentless work ethic contributed to building the culture we have today. When you have a leader who is willing to put complete focus into bettering herself and her team it makes for a winning environment. Our season would not have been possible without her commitment to the North Penn culture.”
