Ryan Anton – Millersville University (Football)

Major:  Athletic Training

Final list of colleges:  Millersville, Widener, Albright

Reasons for choosing Millersville: “I went to a camp at Millersville over the summer, and I fell in love with it. In the beginning of the year, Millersville wasn’t interested in me because I was only 225 pounds, but after Widener fell through, I called them again and told them what I’d gone through and how I’ve worked. They wanted me on their team, so I was rostered almost immediately.”

What was the progression that led you to playing football at the collegiate level? “Going to camps before my senior year, I knew I wanted to prove myself and prove what I could do to be a college player. Going through my senior year, I just worked and knew that I did my best. After the season ended, whatever coaches came my way – I considered everything education-wise, football-wise.”

Coach Jeff Hollenbach says:  “Ryan had an excellent year for us last year at left guard and is just a very good football player and a great person. He’ll bring everything he has to Millersville. He played in the Bucks County All-Star Game and had a good game there too.”
