On Thursday, May 24, 2018, Pennridge senior Tristin Banks was recognized for committing to continue his lacrosse career at Bryn Athyn College. Check back for photos of the event.

Tristan Banks – Bryn Athyn College (Lacrosse)

Major:  Human Society

Final list of colleges:  Bryn Athyn, Manhattan College, Stevenson, Widener

Reasons for choosing Bryn Athyn: “I was looking for a small school with a growing lacrosse program whose culture focuses on student-athletes with an emphasis on being a student. Coach (Tucker) Durkin’s enthusiasm about the Bryn Athyn community and bringing in the right students who will thrive in the classroom as well as on the field is a philosophy my family has instilled for years. The campus is beautiful and allows me to stay close to my roots and grow as a student-athlete who will learn more about lifelong service as I want to serve in the public sector.”

High school athletic accomplishments:  Varsity Team Captain, four-year varsity player, 2018 Kevin M. Figaniak Athletic Scholarship, 2018 Second Team All-SOL, 2017 Third Team All-SOL, Pennridge Lacrosse Ram Award

Coach JP Banks says:  “Tristan was a two-year starter in goal. As a coach watching him grow over the three years I coached him, I watched him become more dedicated to the hard work that goes behind the scenes, and I think that really paid off for him. He’s a really good stopper of the ball, he did a good job of understanding what the defense was doing and communicating with the defense.”
