Riley Kodidek – Arcadia University (Volleyball)

Major: Computer Science

Final list of colleges: Arcadia, SUNY Polytechnic Institute

Reasons for choosing Arcadia: “Great campus, lots of choices in majors and great coach.”

Coach Dave Childs says: “He’s one of those guys – even when COVID happened – he spent a lot of time playing volleyball. He plays a ton of volleyball – even in summer, he’s out every weekend playing tournaments, and from a couple of years ago, he was doing all that stuff. You play a lot, you get better. That was his deal. He played so much, and he made himself into a great player. He happened to be a setter for us, but he could have done anything at that high of a level. He could have been an all-state hitter for us. What set him apart is his work ethic.
“Riley was a two-year starter at setter. COVID was 2020, and he was going to be in the regular rotation as a sophomore. He would have split the setter duties in 2020 was the plan. Numbers-wise, he was second all-time in assists, he was sixth all-time in aces, and had by far the most kills from a setter. He was a great offensive weapon even as a setter with over a hundred kills as a setter.”
