Andrew Mayhew – Millersville University (Baseball)

Major:  Undecided

Final list of colleges:  Millersville, Bloomsburg, West Chester, East Stroudsburg, Penn State

Reasons for choosing Millersville:  “When I went up there, the campus just felt like home. I loved the coaches, and the guys up there are great. They have great facilities and a great atmosphere.”

What was the progression that led you to playing baseball at the collegiate level?  “I started getting recruited after my freshman year, and that’s when I knew I had the talent to play in college, and that’s when I started pursuing it.”

Coach Tom Nuneviller says:  “He’s a confident kid. He stepped on the scene for us two years ago and just pitched great right from the get-go. He was 5-0 his sophomore year in the 2015 season. Coming into the season, we thought Joe Molettiere would be our top gun, and he came down with a little bit of a sore elbow, and we needed somebody to help. Andrew came in, and he was tremendous. Last year just having him out there on the mound in a lot of big games, we finished if off with a district championship against Council Rock North. He just went out there and pitched his tail off. It was tremendous. He’s a competitor, he’s confident, and he’s very good.”
