On Thursday, March 20, 2023, Pennsbury senior Josh Rodriguez was recognized for committing to continue his soccer career at Millersville University

Josh Rodriguez – Millersville University (Soccer)

Major: Criminal Justice

Final list of colleges: Millersville, Bloomsburg, Holy Family, Chestnut Hill

Reasons for choosing Millersville: “When I went on an overnight visit, I just felt very connected to the team - there was a lot of family bond, and I liked the school.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in soccer at the collegiate level? “I have always known I wanted to play in college. It became a reality after nationals for club. I ended up doing really good, and I knew I needed to start playing my best, and I started talking to coaches after that.”

Coach Tom Stoddart says: “Josh Rodriguez was a four-year varsity player. Technically and tactically, he was one of the better players I’ve ever had in our program. His development physically between his junior and senior year really paid off – he had 16 goals this season and put himself in a position to play at the next level. Josh is a great kid – he’s a quiet kid, but everyone on campus loves him. He’s going to be a great addition to the Millersville campus. We’re all super excited that he’s going to get that opportunity.”
