Natalia Pinkney – Towson University (Soccer)

Major:  Criminalistics/Forensic Chemistry

Final list of colleges:  Towson, Stony Brook, Duquesne, Liberty

Reasons for choosing Towson:  “They have a good team, a great coaching staff, and it is a good distance from my home. It also had my exact major.”

High school athletic accomplishments:  First team All-SOL soccer, Second team All-State soccer, part of 2011 PIAA state runner-up soccer team, First team All-SOL track, second runner up states (track), part of indoor state champion 4x200 relay.

Coach Audrey Anderson says:  “This year her commitment to the team was huge. Last year after losing in the state championship game, she just said she was determined to do whatever it was going to take to get back there. Our captains this year were great, and she was one of them. Just pushing each other at practice and games – she has that strong personality that people respond to. Even though maybe in the past seasons she’s scored more goals, I think this year she was more dangerous because of her work rate and work ethic and just her ability to play for the team so much more and wanting it so much more than I’d ever expected from her. If you don’t know her, I really feel like you’re missing out on a lot. She does the craziest things and just puts everyone at ease. I’m really excited to see how she’ll do in college.”
