Dylan McCourt – Bridgewater College (Lacrosse)

Major: Undecided

Final list of colleges:  Bridgewater, Shenandoah, Marymount, McDaniel College

Reasons for choosing Bridgewater: “The campus was very nice and surrounded by great towns. Also, I felt a good connection with the coach and see a lot of opportunities in the program for the future.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level?  “I always liked the sport more than others I have played, and I started club in eighth grade but really didn’t get serious about playing in college till about the beginning of junior year. After that, I started going to a lot of showcases trying to get my name out there and also started emailing potential colleges to let them know where I would be. After that, I just narrowed it down to just a few after doing a few visits and made my decision.”

Coach Ryan Bonanni says: Dylan was one of the key reasons our defense improved as much as it did this past season. After transitioning from LSM to close defense, he worked tirelessly all offseason to prepare himself for his new role. His quiet but confident approach was a settling influence on our younger defensive players, and he will be missed.”
