Joe Stoberl – Delaware Valley University (Football)

Major:  Business/Finance

Reasons for choosing DelVal:  “I chose DelVal because it was a smaller school and more my fit. The team seemed good, I liked the coaches, and it seemed like a good fit.”

What was the progression that led you to playing football at the collegiate level?  “As the season progressed this year, I started thinking about it more and more.”

Coach Dan Chang says:  “Joe kind of came around his junior year. He was kind of flipping around in positions, and we saw him throwing the ball. We were in need of a quarterback, and we asked him if he wanted to play quarterback. He said, ‘Yes,’ and every week he got better and better. He was a natural leader for us out there. The rest of the team really respected him, which right off the bat helped us. By senior year, he was rolling on all cylinders in terms of what a quarterback needs to know, looking at coverages. He was already an athlete – he was a running back to start, so he was able to run the ball for us in our system, which we do a lot. We just got very fortunate that we got him into that spot.”
