“Both of these guys have played for me all four years,” coach Andy Snyder said. “Three years ago we were very scant in numbers at the varsity level, and these guys as sophomores started playing varsity.
“They took their lumps, literally. Three years ago we were 0-16, but they went out and they worked hard every day. They stuck with it, and we had a great year this year with these guys as seniors.
“They grew into model young men. They showed leadership qualities and carried us through to a really strong year this year, the strongest we’ve had in a while. These two guys together really propelled our team to a new level this year, and they’re going to be sadly missed. It’s been a pleasure coaching both of them, and I wish them both the best. I know they’ll both serve their teams very well and be able to step in and play without a doubt in my mind.”

Dylan Flor – Kean University (Volleyball)
Major:
Computer Science
Final list of colleges:  Kean, Ramapo College
Reasons for choosing Kean:  “To be honest, I didn’t look at a ton colleges. You hear about most people looking at four or five. I only really looked at two or three. Instantly, I thought the coach was a good guy. He seems like he really knew the sport of volleyball, and that’s what I want. I want someone who can teach me the game as well as push me. He seemed like that guy.”
What was the progression that led you to playing volleyball at the collegiate level?  “I started thinking about it my junior year because that’s the first year I started club, so it’s volleyball outside of high school. That’s where most of the coaches are going to be because you go to national tournaments, and that’s where they all gather to look at players and recruit. I got approached junior year, and that’s when I started thinking about it.”
Coach Andy Snyder says:  “Dylan – on the offensive side – was a great player for us. Every year that he’s been here he’s grown. Last year, he got honorable mention all-league, and he improved this year to make first team. He’s continued to grow every year, not just in his play but also size-wise. It was nice this year having players that were much taller than me that I could put out on the court, and it makes the game a lot easier as well.
“Dylan has done wonders for the morale of the team. He was a leader both vocally and leading by example. He’s going to leave a big hole to fill as he moves on to college. He was really our offensive anchor.”

Nick Wesley – Lancaster Bible College (Volleyball)
Major:
Sports Management/Biblical Studies
Final list of colleges:  Lancaster Bible, Kean, Lock Haven
Reasons for choosing Lancaster Bible:  “Ever since I first visited, I just felt that’s where I was meant to be. It felt like I was being led.”
What was the progression that led you to playing volleyball at the collegiate level?  “I made the decision my junior year because that’s when I really started to develop a passion for the sport.”
Coach Andy Snyder says:  “Nick was our defensive anchor. He’s been the libero for us the last two years. As a freshman, Nick was quite different – very quiet, but he’s grown into much more of a vocal leader. Especially this last year, he really became vocal on the court. I’ve seen him grow from a quiet young freshman to a much more vocal player and leader on the court.
“With a libero, he’s getting next to the most time on the court as any player because he’s there all the time filling in defensively for the middles. He could do anything that we needed him to do. If we needed somebody to step up and play up front, he could have. The only thing that kept us from doing that was this year we had five guys that were well over six foot, and Nick, fortunately for us, could anchor our defense. He’s got the full skill set to play all the way around, and he was a player who led by example. He worked hard in practice every day, came out every day, kept a positive attitude.”
