Zach Quattro – Le Moyne College (Basketball)

Final list of colleges: Le Moyne, St. Francis (Pa.), Georgian Court, Caldwell
Reasons for choosing Le Moyne: “I took an overnight visit, so I got to meet all the players, all the coaches, see the students at the school, and I really liked everything I saw. I wanted to be a part of it. It’s a great academic school, and I know they have a good basketball tradition. It just had everything I needed.”
What was the progression that led you to playing basketball at the collegiate level? “It was one of the goals I always set for myself. I’ve been playing basketball for a long, long time, and this is a dream come true. I’ve been working really hard, and it’s good that all the hard work paid off.”
Coach Dennis Steinly says: “Zach is probably the most natural scorer that I’ve had the pleasure of coaching. He just has a real good touch around the basket and really has a good sense of court awareness. He picked up the game real quick, and he makes his teammates better. He keeps a level head throughout. When you look at him during the game, you can’t tell if we’re winning or losing, if he’s having a good game or bad. He has the same face throughout. Those are good attributes.
“With his size, he started inside when he was young. He’s developed his outside shot over the course of his career and led us in three-point shooting last year. He’s very versatile.”
