Dan Sheppard – Dickinson College (Soccer)

Major:  Business

Reasons for choosing Dickinson:  “It’s a great school, and the soccer program is awesome. I have a friend who graduated from Abington last year, who’s going to Dickinson, and he was an influence also.”

What was the progression that led you to playing collegiate soccer?  “I thought about it the end of my junior year. I was going to see how my senior year of high school went. It went well, and I had a lot of people telling me I should, so I figured I’d do it.”

Coach Randy Garber says:  “Danny is a pure goal scorer. He scored 24 goals this year. If he gets a service, he’s capable of scoring goals. He was one of the main reasons we went as far as we did because of his ability to finish. You can’t replace someone like Danny. You just hope some of the younger players watched some of the things he did, and hopefully, it will rub off. He was a good finisher, one of our few players who ever scored that many goals in a season.”
