Souderton Foursome to Play Collegiate Softball

“All four of these young women have very bright futures, and I couldn’t be more proud of them,” coach Liz Parkins said. “They always go above and beyond, and I can’t wait to see what they do in their collegiate careers.”

Julia Kistler – Marywood University (Softball)
Major:
Communications Sciences & Disorders

Reasons for choosing Marywood: “I chose to go to Marywood because they have a strong speech program.”
Favorite high school sports memory:  “Making a home run out of a ball that was ruled as a single.”
Coach Liz Parkins says: “Julia has played for me for two years. She is someone who was a spark our lineup. She will always get a hit, and using her speed is very essential. She’s a smart base runner and an excellent fielder in center field. I’m really proud of her accomplishments and that she will be playing at Marywood.”

Jen Klepfer - Dickinson College (Softball)

Final list of colleges: Dickinson, Elizabethtown
Reasons for choosing Dickinson: “I chose Dickinson because I liked the small school and the small class sizes.”
Favorite high school sports memory:  “Beating North Penn twice junior year.”
Coach Liz Parkins says: Jen Klepfer has played for me for the past three years. She has just been a star since day one. She always works hard in the offseason, always leaves everything out on the field. She’s been very flexible with what we needed from her - she played third base, second base, anywhere in the lineup, and she always came up with some clutch hits. I’m just really proud of all the work she’s put in to take her sport and skill to the next level at Dickinson College.”

Jordyn Peacock – Goldey-Beacom College (Softball & Volleyball)

Reasons for choosing Goldey-Beacom: “I chose Goldey-Beacom because the coaches and the team were really welcoming.”
Favorite high school sports memory:  “All the bus rides.”
Coach Liz Parkins:  “Jordyn Peacock will be playing volleyball and softball at Goldey-Beacom. Any time you have a two-sport athlete, that’s just phenomenal. I’m really proud of all four of these girls, but she is someone who worked tirelessly and was always dedicated to both sports all year round. She’s looking to study psychology, which I think she’ll do really well with.”

Alina Skrzat – Rosemont College (Softball)
Major: Bio/Pre-Med
Final list of colleges:  Rosemont, University of the Sciences
Reasons for choosing Rosemont: “I liked Rosemont because it was nice and small.”
Favorite high school sports memory:  “All the bus rides because they were also dance parties most of the time.”
Coach Liz Parkins says:  “Alina Skrzat has caught for me for two years and has been right at home behind the plate. She’s called pitches this year and knew what to call. She had a good relationship with our pitchers. She’s someone who always thinks – thinking about the mental part of the game, analyzing different plays, different swings. She always in the game 100 percent, and she tried to pump up her teammates. She’s going to do good things at Rosemont.”
