Grace DeThomas – DeSales University (Field Hockey)
Major: Early Childhood Education
Final list of colleges: DeSales, Arcadia, Kutztown
Reasons for choosing DeSales: “I chose DeSales because they have a welcoming atmosphere and a good field hockey team.”
Favorite high school sports memory: “My favorite memory was coming back and beating North Penn.”
Coach Sue Casciato says: “Grace is very unassuming and kind of quiet, but when you get to know her, she’s super competitive. She’s very funny. She has amazing stick work. She played sweeper for us last year, and she definitely was a real stopper. We only played with three back on defense – we played with two backs and a sweeper. We didn’t play with an extra mid, so we were down one defensively, and it never really hurt us. She’s just rock steady.”

Reasons for choosing Salve Regina: “I chose Salve Regina because they have the best nursing program in New England.”
Favorite high school sports memory: “My favorite memory was during a game sophomore year the National Anthem wasn’t working, so we all busted it out and got the crowd and the other team to join in.”
Coach Sue Casciato says: “Casey is a very hard worker, and she has definitely made the most of her ability. She’s been training at goalkeeping for years. She’s a team player.”

Reasons for choosing Alvernia: “I chose Alvernia because of the welcoming coaches and players.”
Favorite high school sports memory: “My favorite memory was all the bus rides to and from games.”
Coach Sue Casciato says: “Alyssa played right wing for us. She has good speed, she was good at crossing the ball. She was a good defensive forward.”

Coach Sue Casciato says: “Jenna played right mid and right back for us. She’s a four-year varsity player, and she played a number of different positions. I’ve coach Jenna since she was U14 indoor, so I know her well. She has really good stick work, and she’s very smart on the field.”
