Robbie Ferlick – Shippensburg University (Swimming)
Major:
Mechanical Engineering
Final list of colleges:  Shippensburg, IUP, Widener
Reasons for choosing Shippensburg:  “I chose Shippensburg because of the location and the price of attending school. They also had my major.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was playing hacky sack before warmups instead of stretching.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in swimming at the collegiate level? “I always wanted to swim in college and continue my journey throughout my college career.”
Coach Lou Williams says: “Robbie was a really important member of our swimming team. He’s been an elite level swimmer since freshman year. He won a seventh place medal in the 100 free in his senior year. He was probably MVP of our team for the last four years – he scored more points than anyone else and was commonly the anchor leg of our sprint freestyle relays.”
About Robbie:
Favorite food:
Pizza
Favorite TV show: South Park
Favorite artist: The Beatles

Amy Masciulli – West Chester University (Swimming)
Major:
Sports Medicine
Final list of colleges: West Chester, Bloomsburg
Reasons for choosing West Chester: “I chose West Chester because I really loved the team and the coaches, and they have a great academic program for me.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was seeing all my friends and family come and watch me on my Senior Night.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in swimming at the collegiate level? “I have always wanted to swim at the next level, and I think that became a reality sophomore and junior year when I could see myself still improving and noticed it was a good opportunity for me.”
Coach Lou Williams says: “Amy is a butterfiier who is going to West Chester University. Amy is a four-year varsity letterwinner and is a really tough, gritty swimmer. Because of her body size – she’s on the smaller side, and she’s going to fit really well into the college swimming event program, swimming longer distances – 200 fly and the longer freestyle events. I think West Chester is going to be a great program for her to step right in and compete.”
About Amy:
Favorite food:
Any kind of pasta
Favorite movie: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Favorite artist: Noah Kahan

Dylan Scherping – Penn State Behrend (Water Polo/Swimming)
Major:
Business
Final list of colleges:  Penn State Behrend, Washington & Jefferson
Reasons for choosing Penn State Behrend:  “I chose Penn State Behrend because I liked the campus and the school environment.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was getting the goalie rolled at the Beast of the East Tournament.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in swimming and water polo at the collegiate level? “I didn’t always want to play polo and swim in college, but I had a college coach reach out to me around the end of 2022, and it became a reality.”
Coach Lou Williams says: “Dylan came back to swimming later in her high school career. We’re really proud that she stuck with it and is going to have a chance to compete in college. She’s typically a backstroker and sprint freestyler on the swim team.”
Water polo coach Dan Fleck says: “Dylan Scherping is committed to play Division 3 water polo and swim at Penn State Behrend. I’m very excited to have Dylan planning on playing at the next level. She’s a tremendous athlete and was a really positive influence and leader on our team. She’s always looking to learn, she takes instruction very well, and she’s always asking what she can do to improve her game, improve her team. It was a really great experience having her on the team the past couple of years. I’m very proud of her and looking forward to seeing what she can do in the next stage of water polo.”
