Wesley Ahart – University of Pittsburgh (Diving)

Major: Undeclared but planning to pursue Marketing/Advertising

Final list of colleges: Pitt, Kenyon, Cincinnati, Cornell

Reasons for choosing Pitt:  “I decided on Pitt because after my visit I just fell in love with the team and the coach, and they have a great athletic program and many opportunities because it’s in the city.”

Favorite Souderton sports memory:  One of my favorite memories from diving is probably one day at practice when we decided to put the hot tub in the pool. The whole team jumped in it together and we rode around the pool in the hot tub."

Diving coach Sue McDonald says:  “The thing that makes Wes so amazing is that no one has worked harder than him. He deserves everything that he got. He’s been an amazing, amazing team leader, and I’m glad that he finally is going to a school that he wanted to go to. He wanted to dive D-I, he set his goals early, and every year he came in and tried to achieve those goals. No one works harder. He came to high school practices, and then he went to U.S. practice. I’m glad to see him go to place like Pitt, and they better appreciate him because we are going to miss him.”
