Miranda Baronett – Arcadia University (Volleyball)

Major: Chemistry on the Pre-Forensics science track

Final List of Colleges: Arcadia, Temple, University of New Haven

Reasons for choosing Arcadia:  “I chose Arcadia because I loved the campus and the program for Forensics is one of the best in the country.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in volleyball at the collegiate level? “I started thinking about playing volleyball in college my freshman year in high school but didn't start the recruiting process until December of junior year. I sent out a bunch of emails to coaches at schools I was interested in, and then tried to keep them updated with my schedule for each tournament. As my senior year season for high school started to finish, I realized I didn't want my athletic career to end, so I reached out to Coach Porr at Arcadia and continued to send him my schedules along with game footage.”

Coach Dave Childs says:  “Miranda was an outside hitter for me, and she really did everything well. She was a four-year varsity player. She provided stability in the lineup with her passing, with her hitting, and she had a really good serve. She was able to do everything on the court, which we really needed.”
