Reasons for choosing Grove City: “I ultimately chose Grove City College because I wanted to go to a school that had the same values as my personal values and a school that would push me both academically and athletically.”
Best Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was hanging out with my teammates and coaches and also beating CB East.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in volleyball at the collegiate level? “I always knew I wanted to play a sport in college, but I didn’t fall in love with lacrosse until middle school. In high school, it became a reality that I could play at a higher level.”
Lacrosse coach Craig Hunsberger says: “Tyson is a player that every coach would love to have on their team. He’s the first one at the practice field, he’s the last one to leave the field, whether it’s practice or games. He’s always getting extra shots. He’s just all around one of the best players I’ve ever had the opportunity to coach in terms of what he brings to the table and how he leads. He’s an overall great player to be around.”
Soccer coach Matt Benner says: “Tyson is a really, really gifted athlete that can do lots of different things on the field. During his time, we moved him all around the field from playing in the midfield a bit to playing in the back to playing out on the wing. He’s a really selfless individual and cares far more about the team’s success than any personal accolades of his own. He’s a guy who could be counted on as a strong captain and leader and pushed the team forward as the season was unfolding.”
