Kylie Heath – Washington College (Soccer)
Major: Biology with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy
Final list of colleges: Washington College, Shippensburg, Dickinson, Johns Hopkins, Millersville
Reasons for choosing Washington College: “I chose Washington College because it’s an extremely academic school, but it also has a soccer program that competes in the top D3 conference in the country.”
Favorite soccer memory: “Beating Pennridge this year.”
Coach Chris Felber says: “Kylie was blessed with a lot speed. She’s extremely fast and quite flexible where she plays. I could basically play her anywhere on the field, whether it be defense, midfield or up top on attack. That was her big strength on the team. I could really use her speed wherever it would help us most. She was creative player. She was a player who would get lots of assists – not so many goals, but she was a player who would create chances for the team.”
Kristen Parry – Moravian College (Soccer)
Major: Physical Therapy
Final list of colleges: Moravian, Washington & Jefferson, Scranton
Reasons for choosing Moravian: “I chose Moravian because when I went on my overnight, the team just had a real family-oriented atmosphere, and I really liked that. Certain doors opened, and certain doors closed, and Moravian just ended up being the perfect fit for me.”
Favorite soccer memory: “My favorite soccer memory was when we tied CB East, and we were their only blemish in the whole entire season (until the state title game). and that also got us into playoffs for the first time in 16 years.”
Coach Chris Felber says: “Kristen is a ball winner. She’s more of a central player - she played center back for a few years for the team, but her senior year she played defensive mid and did a very good job of winning and distributing the ball. She did the hard work for the team. She was that type of player who did all the hard work.”
