Tim Kennel – Roberts Wesleyan College (Cross Country/Track)

Major:  Biology with a focus on Pre-Med

Final list of colleges:  Roberts Wesleyan, Gordon, Grove City, Eastern Mennonite

Reasons for choosing Roberts Wesleyan:  “I chose Roberts Wesleyan because of its amazing science program.”

Favorite Souderton sports memory:  “My favorite memory is this year’s track meet at Pennridge when it was snowing. Pennridge is a lot better than our team this year. Nonetheless, we were going to enjoy the track meet as a team. It got very cold out there, and we obviously didn’t want to run at certain points. When me and my teammate went up to run the two-mile in the snow with next to nothing on, we thought it was going to be a little bit of a challenge, but we ran side by side and felt a real sense of companionship in being able to overcome the odds and get a PR that day.”

Coach John Donahue says:  “We were so excited when Tim joined our team for his senior year.  Not only was he one of our top runners last season, but he became a leader almost from the start.  He was very dependable, and the coaches could always count on him.  He is a great talent in many areas besides running.  An excellent student Tim also excelled in the arts as he was one of the leads in the musical.  I am looking forward to watching Tim develop as a runner at the next level.”
