Connor McMenamin - Bucknell University (Cross Country/Track)
Major:
Mathematics
Final list of colleges:  Bucknell, United States Naval Academy, Lehigh
Reasons for choosing Bucknell:  “When I started my recruiting process, I wanted to find a school that not only was extremely competitive athletically but also academically.  When I first talked to Coach Donner in February of 2016, I knew it was a possible school on the list to attend for me.  After I took my only official visit in September, I immediately had no doubt in my mind in choosing and knew that what they had to offer was what I was looking for.  Not only did they have the perfect mix of academics and athletics, but the team and the facilities were very welcoming and just what I want out of my college experience.  I’m extremely excited to join the Bison next year and hope to contribute greatly to their young team that has had much success this past year!”

What was the progression that led you to competing in cross country and track at the collegiate level?  “Heading into freshman year, I never really ran before.  I wasn’t going to join cross country until my mom and dad convinced me, a decision that definitely changed my life.  After a relatively normal freshman year, I trained extremely hard over the summer heading into sophomore year and eventually broke out onto the running scene, qualifying for my first of many state championships.  From there, I became more consistent and dominant in my ability and gradually placed higher and better at leagues, districts, and states.  None of this could have been possible without the guidance of Coach Donahue, Coach Klimovich, and Coach Feliciani.  It’s been a fun ride (minus the injuries!) and I look forward to coming back to Souderton to help the team continue its success!”
Coach John Donahue says:  “Connor combines incredible talent with a work ethic that is second to none.  He is one of the toughest competitors I have seen in 25 years of coaching.  He will be so tough to replace.”
About Connor:
Favorite food:  Chicken Caesar Wraps
Favorite movie:  The Godfather (Part I)
Favorite music:  Classic Rock

Joe Breen – Virginia Military Institute (Cross Country/Track)
Coach John Donahue says:  “Joe was a great leader who was elected captain for two years by his teammates.  He worked so hard to make states and was four at the SOL Championships.  He helped turn the program around in his four years from zero wins to second in the league and ninth in the district.”
