Avery Taylor – West Chester University (Diving)

Major: Special Education

Final list of colleges: West Chester, George Mason, James Madison

Reasons for choosing West Chester: “I thought West Chester was the best fit for me. I really liked the location.”

Favorite Souderton sports memory: “We always have a hot tub that we sit in at the pool, and we put it in the pool every Christmas break, and we all sit in it and float around.”

What was the progression that led you to dive at the collegiate level? “I always want to dive in college, and last year I realized it was actually a possibility for me.”
Diving coach Sue McDonald says: “Avery is the toughest girl I’ve ever coached. She’s a hard, hard, hard worker and great leader. She’s a four-year letterwinner, state qualifier, district qualifier. She’s such a well-rounded diver. She’s going to immediately fit into West Chester’s program. She has to catch up a little bit on the 3-meter, but she is so determined. She never gives up. I have high hopes for her. I think she’ll do great.”
