Souderton's Watson & Novak to Compete in Collegiate Volleyball

Haley Novak – Rutgers University-Camden (Volleyball)

Reasons for choosing Rutgers-Camden:  “I chose Rutgers because they have a really good science program and I love science, and I really liked being in the city.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory:  “One of my favorite memories is playing our rival teams and just how intense and passionate the games were and just being so close with my teammates.”
Coach Dave Childs says:  “Haley was a three-year starter for us at outside hitter even though she’s about 5-1. She’s really athletic and jumps well. She plays good defense and serves great. She’s a really, really good all-around player.”

Talia Watson – Cedar Crest College (Volleyball)

Reasons for choosing Cedar Crest: “I chose Cedar Crest because of the environment that was there. The coach was really nice, and everyone was so welcoming.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “It’s hard to pick a favorite memory because we were such a close team. I think one of my favorite memories is all of the team bonding things. Last season we went to Torie’s house, and we got to all hang out. It was really cool to hang out with the team and be more than a team and almost like a family.”
Coach Dave Childs says:  “Talia was a libero her junior year and set her senior year. She has a really good serve. She’s been playing volleyball for a long time, so she knows the game well.”
